The Wedding Chicks

The Wedding Chicks
Forgive me, but I’ve been on a wedding kick lately. I promise, it’s nearly over! :) My anniversary is on the 14th but I’m still thinking about weddings and I’m guessing it’s due to all the photos I’ve been looking through lately.

Have you heard of The Wedding Chicks before? No? Oh you will love me for sharing these ladies with you today! This is such a beautiful place on the web to visit for wedding inspiration. I must confess though, that even for us married girls it’s a great spot for simply viewing lovely things and dreaming up ideas on how we can use some of the ideas and color schemes in a non-wedding sort of way.

Flatirons

So Shaun and I have spent some time searching
for where the Lord wants to use us next.

We have visited many amazing churches

and have experienced some great worship!

Our hearts are still searching, but I thought I

would share with you all my favorite thus far.

We showed up at Flatirons Community Church

during their Locked Up series and

Pastor Jim Burgen happen to be speaking on our first Sunday.

I must say, I was impressed with

how real he was, yet so true to the Word.

I am providing the link to the website because

even the bloggers who live away from

the Denver area can download all sermons on podcast

...and believe me, it is worth it.

You will be fed! No matter where you are!

Relishing Children's

I am now on a new journey to becoming a weekend blogger.
This is a picture of my new office, Denver Children's Hospital.
I have now been there 3 weeks, with approx. 40 hours a week.

I am working in the PACU.
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit is also known
as the recovery room for all children coming out of anesthesia.

Children' has 15 operating rooms and 50-60 surgeries a day.
We keep each child from 30 min to 90 min in the recovery room,
depending on their breathing issues.
It is a fast moving place!
I have much to learn, but I like the department
and enjoy the art of 'waking a child up'...

Because I love the hospital so much,
I thought I would share a few pictures with all of you!
This is the main lobby of Children's and Atrium!
Isn't it beautiful?

All of flooring's are scenes from nature.

This is the amazing chapel for all to use.

The cafeteria.

Another view of the cafe,
where my boys come and visit me!

The surgery waiting room.

So I thank the Lord for my job!
I thank the Lord for helping me to
build new friendships.

And thank you to Kim, one of the RN's who is orienting me,
for introducing me to the website
